Paul Bain founded Sign Management Consultants in 1977 as an outgrowth of his design and engineering work on the General Motors Dealership signs in the early 70's. It was evident that the design and management projects outsourced by General Motors could also be provided to other businesses with multiple sign locations, and so was the beginning of Sign Management Consultants.

Today our client list has grown into the hundreds, most of which are Fortune 500 companies who provide virtually all type of products and services throughout the world.

We provide design, engineering, surveys, and management services to end users of exterior and interior signs. Our typical client is any type of business with multiple locations whose signs are changed due to mergers, acquisitions or re-branding. Our highly specialized multi-disciplined services normally are not available from within the client's business. Many of our clients continue to retain us after the initial conversions. We maintain their signage standards and provide sign services for new and renovated locations.
